another friend was dumped by a long time gf..

3rd one this month..

leaves me tinking.. why are roles reversed now? used to be guys who never treat rships seriously.. isnt it?

but now many girls want to "explore" more even though they have a almost perfect bf.. tinking that there is always "someone better"..

i tink its vicious cycle.

when a guy hurts a girl, the girl learn from it.. and inflict it on someone else who comes along the way.. and the poor guy gets hurt.. and never dare to love someone wholeheartedly anymore..and it goes on.

SEE! the culprit is still the male species! HAHA!

but i m one of the victim in the vicious cycle definitely. :(

i tink it sucks to love someone wholeheartedly but the other party just keep holding back, tinking if he/she should settle down for you or if u are the one..

i no longer have the patience to tolerate this kinda mind games..not like i m still 14 yrs old.

Luckily i am a taker, not a giver.. and i have met a perfect giver :)

Royal China @ Raffles Hotel.

Went to Royal China at Raffles Hotel for Collin's Farewell lunch this afternoon.

OMG. The Dim Sum is super yummy. all of dem.

And pricing is really reasonable. 6 of us paid total SGD 120, after 10% discount for UOB Card.

hehe.

Starter. Some fried mushroom. A tad salty for my liking.

Prawn Wraps. *Sorry for the poor naming of the food, cos boss ordered and i didnt have the chance to look at the menu.

Char Siew Su. Crust is warm and it melts in your mouth. Char Siew is fragrant and not hard.

Mushroom Dumpling. So-so.

Spring roll.

THIS IS THE HIGHLIGHT. i tell u, i never tasted such a good egg tart before. It literally puts the one i had in Hong Kong to shame (it was the best, until i 'met' this one from Royal China, i tot i died). The crust is Portugese style and the egg fillings is not only warm, but HOT.

so gg to miss it. cos i only had one. :(

Mini Chee Cheong Fun Roll - Plain. For my vegetarian boss. Served with Sesame sauce (that look like Peanut Butter) and the normal sweet sauce for CCF. I mean Chee Cheong Fun, not some vulgarity. HAHA.

Thomas and Collin. He shared his tips on customer entertaining, hehe. Wish Collin all the best in his new pilates studio!

Char Siew Pau --> Picture doesnt do it justice. Pau is fluffy soft.

Steam layered cake. Yellow color layer is salted egg yolk. Might taste better if its abit more salty. cant really taste the salted egg york (which i love), so its not special. Not saying its not nice.

We ordered alot more dishes, like Carrot cake, Sang Min (Crispy Noodle w Gravy), Crab and Prawn Jiao, Xiao Long Bao.. etc etc.. Hee..But was busy eating, so nv take much photos. hee.

And i dont want to disturb my colleagues, so i only take photo when its right in front of me. so some dishes are already gone by e time it reaches me. (Served on a spinning round table and in portion of 3s)

Another thing worth mentioning is the posh deco of the restaurant. Its in pretty shade of turqoise. Very soft on the eyes. And Collin said he felt like he was sitting in a Tiffany box. LOL. very apt. :)

So friends, if u are looking for a place to eat good tim sum, and doesnt mind splurging a little, this will be a good choice. its worth it.

However, if u are on a budget, u can go for Wan Dou Sek, at Geylang Lorong 17. Nice too. :)

just reach home. Time now is 3.55 am..its another round of drinking... mm..

but i tink i am 101% sober. again.

went to run some errands w mommy in the noon. met mery for shopping at vivo before meeting Ben for dinner. Total Damage on shopping (Topshop alone) - SGD 105. sigh. i feel guilty! anyway. 2nd piece at 40% off. hmm.. good buy! i want to show baby soon!

Had a nice dinner w Ben at Marche. Everything was nice, except the Pasta. yucks. Mery joined us for a while before meeting Perry to watch the Man U vs Liverpool match..zzzz.. baby too, abandoned me for the match. SOBZ

As a result of coin flipping, we ended up at O bar. mm.. Met his friend, John or Jon or whatever, he had this group of anti social friends, whom just drink and play games amongst themselves.. sianness.. And Ben was playing pool. so i sat there to listen to the music. to make things worst, there was this SPG trying to hit on this Ang Moh guy. And started making out next to me. zzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz.

Things only got a bit better when Ben stop for awhile to entertain me. And some of e O bar regulars started making small talk w me. :)

so basically i sat there entire night to "observe" whats happening around. Its a rare chance, cos usually i will be high and cant see properly. haha. and O bar indeed is a scandalous place. HAHA. dozens of pple making out everywhere.. mm..

Overall, it was a fun night. although John's friends were anti social, he is quite a nice chap. abit shy i must say. and the other two guy friends of his looks like losers and the other girl was super loud. so i really cant be bothered.

Clubbing cant be fun without my girls!

Was there with Mery and Stella last Friday! i tink it was more fun! hehe..

Both of them were impressed w how cheap the drinks were. haha.

We all got abit high. But we didnt dance much. cos was quite tired. Left the place at 2 odd.

Bumped into Ben too. . Mery insist that the rship between me and Ben is complicated. but i beg to differ. imo, it is crystal clear - Platonic. :)

Anyway, was walking towards the Bah Kut Teh place when Kenee called. its been awhile..

He sounded a bit high over at his end. he was drinking somewhere near Merchant road. i dont quite remmeber wat i said to him. i hope not nonsense.

he said he has been browsing my FB, and i looked happy. yeah..i guess i am.. so is he..

and some other nonsense la.. talked for abt 20 mins.. i tink its the longest chat w him over the phone ever..

o well.. doesnt matter..

KL Trip! 19th - 21st Feb 09

I had C14 to accompany me throughout the long bus journey

C14 is cold. So must hug hug the mug of warm chocolate~

Bought this geeky specs from Chee Cheong Gai. Heartsssss it.

The most wonderful part abt the whole trip? Definitely dinner on the second night.

KL famous Grilled Stingray & claypot chicken rice. its the best stingray and claypot rice i have ever tasted in my entire life. i tot i went to heaven.

Ask for less spicy is u are not a chilli lover. we asked for the normal spicy..and it was SHIOK. Served with generous portions of lady fingers. my favourite veggie. :)

This pot is for one pax. But is big enuff for two.

argh. i m hungry!

Both dishes cost me RM 18 bucks. so cheap!~

Maggi Goreng from some random stall at Jalan Alor. NICE.

Overall, a good getaway. But i will not visit KL again anytime soon.

Its only 1/10 as enjoyable as my Taipei trip. =D

addicted to the Oreo Pocky sticks i got from a recent Japan fair! Its v nice!

Its coated with choc and bits of oreo chunks! HAHA..

$6 a box, 6 individual packs. 1 pack = 4 sticks. So.. its kinda ex. :(

I have finished 2 boxes so far. yummy yummy! gg to share w my gfs!

And 3 new additions to my shoes closet... good buys!

Sandals @ $19.90 & Booties at $23.90. DMK sale. My colleague bought e exact same pair from DMK at $ 38.00..

Similar to the design above! i also got this from gojane~ its SGD 30. kinda ex, imo :( but quite nice~

sigh. havent been blogging. no mood.

office has been very politically unstable. first time feeling this way after a year of tenure.

one of my colleague was "asked to leave" and reason given was not substantial.

sigh. shes one of my closer gfs in office. so sad. :(

being close to HR, i was able to get first hand news abt her "leaving" but i had to pretend i didnt know in order not to hurt her pride.

needless to say, this incident has adversely affected my morale. i can see that even my manager is upset about this, even tho she is not in our department. we just find it cruel for the management to make such decisions at this point of time.

turnover rate has been high. most of the nicer and capable pple left for a better opportunity.

One of the newbie is getting on my nerves. i tot only i hate her, but apparently there are others who share this hatred.

As an assistant manager, (i assume) she does nothing, but bumping around with the rest of the newbies in her team. Incapable and unprofessional in handling work issues. Has attitude problem. Complains abt her workload, but she NEVER stays back. The entire team just have to complain abt their workloads and their over-protective boss will delegate their work to someone else who is even MORE overloaded, including my team. speak about unfairness.

BUT to my COO, she is an ANGEL.

(btw, imo, my COO is a control freak and he only favours those pple who can suck up to him)

Anyway, once, she was supposed to hand my a pile of documents before i can provide with the rest of the work. She actually IM me and ask me if she could just send me in soft copies via email. So i asked her why? She told me a lame reason - "SAVE TREES".

RIGHT. I am so going to buy that.

The only reason that i could think of is that, she is lazy to walk to the printer, which is very far away from her table. zzzzzzzzz. Com'on, i need those supporting doc to be filed for my audit,not like i enjoy punching holes for that pile of documents. zzzzzzzz.

Anyway, hope Gin will find a better job soon. All the best. Gonna miss her. T_T

On a lighter note, i had a fun weekend at Sentosa!

of cos it rained! whenever Serene goes to Sentosa, it never fails to rain! HAHA.

but its still fun! photos to be up later. :)
