Had been very very busy the past few days.. but not worth mentioning over what..anyway.. updating Batam pics as promised.. =)

Batam - 29 July 2007 (Sunday)

Weather: Fine

Met him at Habourfront Centre at 9.15am.. this guy who is holding on to the tickets and was supposed to check in at 9am was late!!! Outrageous! Luckily we didnt miss our Ferry at 10 am..

The weather was good..

there were a few young couples travelling with us, but the ferry was almost empty..

We chose the non-air conditioned seats as i prefer to enjoy the sea breeze!!.. so nice!!! other than the second hand smoke from those uncles sitting in front of us.. they should ban smoking on ferry as well. *humpf.

Half way through journey..there was a short period of passing rain... so no sea breeze.. =(

Felt bored and we started cam - whoring for abit.. AHAHAH..









Lighting wasnt good.

Finally we reach WFT at 10am, indonesia time. They are one hour behind SG time.

Upon arrival, we were transfered to the resort in their mini orange van.. it was about 5 mins to the resort..

As it was too early for us to check in.. we decided to head to Nagoya town for some shopping spree since there was a shuttle service at 10.30 am..

The ride was bumpy .. but it wasnt too bad.. both of us just spent the time looking at the scenery and chatting away.. so time passes quite quickly..

Nothing great about the shopping place called Nagoya Hill. The only ting that attracted us was A&W.. hehe.. we ordered their curly fries to munch as we shop...

I bought 2 pairs of pointed heels at SGD 18 each which i simply love..cos its pretty comfy..and one pair of adidas slippers..

Wanted to get some Keropok for mommy so we headed to their super market.. its similiar to Giant in Singapore..

we bought titbits! Tapioca chips and some flavours of Hello Panda which are not found in Singapore..

Returned back to the resort at around 2.30 pm and checked in..

We have upgraded the room to Laguna room! thats the room with Pool view. And the normal rooms are those facing the sea.. i would prefer mine! you will see why..

This is how the back of the resort looks like. We stayed on the 4th floor.

The structure of the resort is similiar to rasa sentosa. the floor level rooms has a small private garden and the pool is just right at the door step.

As we were taking the pictures , we heard screams and cheers ..then we realise.. .........................

Our package includes a personal pan pizza for lunch so we went to the cafe at lobby to pick upour complimentary pizza.. and eat as we watch TV..its yummuy =)

We headed for a short swim and we agreed that its really a good idea that we came on Sunday.. cos there wasnt much people around..

Most of the patrons were asians - Japanese, Korean, Chinese, mostly Singaporean.. there wasnt much ang mohs around..

After the swim we headed back to our hotel room to watch MOVIES again.

Theres plenty of choices.. including Channel 5, Channel 8, Channel U and HBO and other movie channels.. it was showing Terminator 3

Then it was dinner time.. inituially we wanted to take their transport and head out to the Kelong for seafood dinner.. but i just wasnt in the mood for seafood that day.. so we gave it a miss and tried the pasta at their restaurant at the lobby..

Food was great.. but i cant say so about the dessert.. we ordered a tiramisu.. and it sucks to the core.. you can easily tell that its been sitting in the freezer for a very very long time..


i ordered a beef lasagne


his was Tenderloin with Pasta. The beef was really fresh and tender.. =D

I also like to mention that the service of their staff is really really really nice.. its the best that i have ever came across after staying in many resorts and hotels..

They are warm and friendly.. although their command of English isnt very good.. but they will try their best to chat up with you. and make you feel at home..

Service Level: Excellent

But one thing about Harris is that, there is really nothing much for you to do after dark.. The arcade is closed.. and there are no lamps at the beach.. so its really not advisable for you to go there.. i bet theres lotsa mosquitoes..so we headed back to our room to watch MOVIE.. haha.. tts about the only better pastime over there..

Baby fell asleep soon.. and so i watched movie with myself.. =(

Day 2.

We missed our buffet breakfast cos the bed was super comfy that there is absolutely no way to get up early in the morning..

Quite wasted but i didnt have time to brood over that..

because first thing i wake up in the morning.. i found something sitting on my STOMACH (ok.. not exactly romantic place to put but he was afraid that i would miss it if he left it elsewhere)

BAH.. so i shall be happy more often.. cos he said that will be the best present. *hugs*

Slack for the rest of the morning.. and check out at 10.45.. cos our 3 hr spa was at 11am..

The spa is so shiok.. its situated on top of a 4 storey tall building.. and the entire spa took place in this atap house in the open rooftop.. plus the weather was really good.. plus we had the whole place to ourselves since its Monday..so i felt super relax..

The body scrub was good.. but as for the massage i think the one we had at BKK was better.

After the spa.. we went for lunch at the cafe.. and i had Nasi Goreng.. not too bad.. but a lil pricey.. baby had beef again.. haha..

After which, we headed for our return ferry.. and HOME SWEET HOME...

2D1N is just okay for a place like Harris.. cos the main purpose there is to relax..and there is nothing much for me to do down there..

But if lets say if you play sea sports.. you will prob need more than 2D1n.. well.. its up to individual..

But i would definitely go back again.. because of the nice resort and excellent service.. *thumbs up* and its affordable!!

Girls.. we should organise a grp tour and head for spa..
